The cosmetic bags are from a company called Freeset that works to help keep girls in India out of the sex trade industry by providing jobs for them. Thousands of women in West Bengal are vulnerable to sex trafficking. Many are below poverty line and the girls are generationally stolen or sold into sex trade as a means to support their family. By providing work for these girls, Freeset offers a way for supporting their families. Each item is handcrafted with certified 100% organic cotton. Freeset is also a member of the Fair Trade Federation.
